How much does a website cost in 2026?

9 July 2026 · CodePort · 5 min read

"How much does a website cost?" — it is the first question almost every client asks, and at the same time the question with the fewest honest answers online. Prices in Poland run from a few hundred euros for a template from a site builder to hundreds of thousands for large corporate portals. In this article we show what the price is really made of and what ranges you can expect in 2026.

Where does the price of a website come from?

Professional studios and software houses price projects by the hour. The price is simply the number of working hours multiplied by the rate. At CodePort we work to the following model: development €46/h net (excl. VAT), design €35/h net (excl. VAT) — and rates like these (€35–58/h) are typical for the Polish market outside the largest Warsaw agencies.

Euro amounts converted at the NBP mid-market rate of 14 September 2026 (€1 = 4.3391 zł) and rounded. We invoice in PLN.

Those hours cover: the design work (wireframes, mobile version), development (code, animations, forms), content and its implementation, testing on different devices, plus publication and domain configuration.

How much does a website cost: price ranges in 2026

Simple company website / landing page: ca. €1,050–2,550 net (excl. VAT)
25–60 hours of work: a few subpages, contact form, mobile version, basic SEO. This is the range most often asked about when people wonder how much a website costs for a small business.
Extended company website: ca. €1,600–6,000 net (excl. VAT)
More subpages, a blog or news section, language versions, integrations (maps, CRM, newsletter).
Online shop: ca. €2,550–8,050 net (excl. VAT)
Product catalogue, online payments, order management panel, courier integrations.

These are indicative price ranges — the exact website development cost depends on the scope. That is why, instead of promising a "website for €230", we prefer to understand what you need first.

Where you can (and where you should not) save money

  • You can: start with fewer subpages and extend the site in stages; use proven, ready-made integrations instead of writing your own.
  • You should not: skimp on the mobile version (over 60% of traffic comes from phones), on loading speed (Google penalises slow sites) or on form security.

Hidden costs few people mention

Beyond the one-off project price there are recurring costs: the domain (ca. €12–28/year), hosting (€0–140/year — simple sites can be hosted practically for free), an SSL certificate (usually free these days) and any technical support. An honest supplier will list them all before the contract is signed.

How do you work out the price of your own project?

The simplest approach: define the number of subpages, the features you need (forms, languages, integrations) and how polished the design should be. Each of these elements translates into specific working hours. We have built a calculator that does this for you — you see the result straight away, in hours and in cost.
